CUSTOM YAMAHA RD 250

A friend of Reserve stopped by the store on this custom RD before he bid it farewell on Ebay. This 1974 yamaha RD 250 has been transformed into a monoshocked RD wearing a tank and tail from a 71Benelli 750cc road racer, while the fairing is from a ’69 Benelli 350-4. As far as the suspension goes, the monoshock was taken from a Ducati 750SS with the front forks being from a rd400, rebuilt with Racetech springs. The triple clamp is a custom piece along with the solid stainless steel fairing stay.

The motor has a fresh top end on it with mildly ported cylinder, shaved heads, 32mm mikunis and a Dynamo electronic ignition system which is self charging and is running sans battery.
