FAIRENDS

Fairends is a brand built on simple well thought design. The brand came together in 2011 through the minds of Ben Farencz and Martin Cavajal. The two met while working on a line of custom bicycles and bags in New York City. Ben hails from New York he is currently rooted near Missoula, Montana. Years of working in New York helped forge his future, but the mountains kept calling for his return to Montana. Martin lives in New York City and his passion for the brand was instilled in him from years working in clothing production in the garment district. 

The cross country collaboration makes for a perfect marriage of the western mountains and the urban lifestyle. What comes out of that union are clean and simple caps with well picked fabrics varying from solid and waxed twills, wool, and other unique materials. The minimal branding and fabrication in California create a timeless design that can be worn during all occasions from spending time on the trail to walking around the city.

Aside from the hats they have done many collaborations with many respected brands creating unique products. Recently they’ve been doing pop ups  at various retailers applying custom letter layups on the front of their hats. They have also done collaborations with Taylor Stitch, Oakley, Surface Ski’s, Hickories, Woolrich, and Steven Alan.
