On Saturday, October 26th, we will be hosting our fall bike night benefiting the Hydrocephalus Association from 6 pm to 9 pm at 2205 Washington Ave. All makes and models of bikes are welcome. Whether you have a bike or not, we hope you can join us to enjoy the sights, sounds, and delicious flavors. The Luxurious Panthers will be performing their original tunes live and Grisby’s Gras will be on-site with their Cajun Texanese cuisine.
With the support of Tellason, RAEN, Rev'It, Patagonia, Vans, Bell Helmets, Red Wing Heritage, Biltwell, The James Brand, Common Motor, Pendleton, BOLDR, Triumph Heritage, and others, we will host a raffle to benefit the Hydrocephalus Association (HA).
Hydrocephalus is a complex, life-threatening condition marked by excess accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) on the brain and affects both of my kids, Kai and Ryder. The only treatment involves brain surgery - most often inserting a medical device called a shunt to drain the excess fluid. Out of the 31 surgeries Kai and Ryder have had, 18 have been hydrocephalus related. Ryder has had 17 of those surgeries and has two VP shunts to manage his hydrocephalus.
Founded in 1983 to provide support for families living with the challenges of hydrocephalus, the Hydrocephalus Association has become the nation’s largest and most respected organization devoted exclusively to hydrocephalus. Since 2009, HA has turned its research investment of $14 million into $88 million in additional research, becoming the largest non-profit, non-governmental funder of hydrocephalus research in the U.S. The HA is making progress along many promising paths toward better treatment options and a cure - for those living with hydrocephalus and those who love them, HA is the best hope for finding a cure.
The Hydrocephalus Association is very important to us, which is why we are dedicating the next Bike Night to them. Tickets may be purchased online or in-store, and you do not have to be present to win. 100% of ticket sales will benefit the Hydrocephalus Association.
