Mango Beach on a Monday
Sun drenched and bright, this past Monday in Houston demanded sunglasses and short sleeves for the first time this year; the start of a week that was forecasting a subtle knock at the front door of 90 degree weather and we swore we could see summer from here. It's hard to stay firmly planted in work on a day like that, and we couldn't help but cut out of the shop for a bit to visit the seasonal go-to on White Oak Drive that is Mango Beach. A yellow and green shack that has a couple of benches and trees for a shaded welcome to anyone that is looking for a spot to unwind. The window where you order takes cash-only and in return hands you raspas and aguas frescas that will be bigger than you expect. A cup of sliced mango with chili powder will run you a $5 bill, a steal to take the edge off when the temps have risen to Houston Summer proportions.
The Reserve pants were ideal for the venture. The RSC x Dickies 1922 exclusive pants are made of duck canvas that breathes better than denim while still being durable. The fit is a slim straight that has room to move with a tailored silhouette that will break in like your favorite pair of jeans and comes in a wide array of colors. The Reserve Supply x Dickies Collection we design is still cut and sewn in Uvalde, Texas and is a shop staple.
There will be new pieces in the line-up for Summer 2019 so stay tuned.
