THE HAND BUILT SHOW

Each motorcycle is unique in its own way. Some bikes are set up to go fast. Some are set up to use on road, and some are set up to use off road. Some motorcycles can do both. Some are for racing and some for cruising. Some motorcycles are so unique they are almost unrecognizable. No matter how different, every motorcycle has a soul and personality.

BARBOUR INTERNATIONAL NOW IN STOCK

In 1964, the Barbour International was the jacket of choice for the American team that competed in the International Six Day Trials – a team that included none other than Steve McQueen himself. This dynamic collection celebrates the riders and mechanics who strove for glory in this gruelling endurance event.

BIKE NIGHT RECAP

No breakdowns, no road rash, just knees in the breeze. The weather was cool for a change and everyone enjoyed the party. Homer Saenz of 713 Tattoo created a couple of masterpieces, when he took his tattoo gun out and started work on a pair of 9111 Red Wing Heritage boots. Thanks to Reverberation for keeping the funk, soul, and rock and roll spinning throughout the night. If these bike nights  continue to grow like they have been it will be a festival before long. We had a hoot, and can't wait to see who rides what next time.

All makes and models are welcome, so get cleaned up and ride for a cause.

LONE STAR FLIGHT MUSEUM

One of Galveston Island's hidden gems is the Lone Star Flight Museum. This Museum is home to numerous restored to flying condition aircrafts. The museum not only acquires and restores vintage aircraft, but also promotes and encourages the study of science and aviation through educational programs. If you find yourself on the island we recommend a visit to the Lone Star Flight Museum.

BIKE NIGHT

We saw some race faces captured by Smilebooth and resident photog Max Burkhalter and crash tested some of the new Bullitt and Custom 500 helmets by Bell. The helmets worked, because no one got hurt and everyone had a good time. As if that was not exciting enough we all gathered around to witness the ocular spectacle by Deus and Raen Optics, "I had too much to dream last night."

The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show

The folks over at Revival Cycles, Circuit Of The Americas, and Moto Guzzi put together an incredible showcase of vintage, and custom vintage motorcycles. The show combined design, art, music, and motorcycles. The Handbuilt Show was open throughout the weekend of the second annual Moto GP race in Austin, Texas and was free to the public. There was so much in store for spectators we visited twice over the weekend to soak it all in, made sure we did not miss anything and took a second look at the show stoppers.

As if all of the bikes, art and music were not enough, there was The Wall of Death performing free every hour, (blog post coming soon) and a vintage motorcycle jacket exhibit. We clicked a few photos while we were there. We hope you enjoy the small taste of The Handbuilt Show last weekend in Austin, Texas.

We are honored to have worked so closely with Dickie’s 1922 on our first collaborative pant for Reserve Supply Company. It only seems fitting that the pant was delivered and available for sale on our third anniversary. It is hard to believe it has already been three years, but this pant is definitely a milestone of accomplishment.

Giddy Up Vintage Chopper Show

This show will be talked about long after the dust settles in New Braunfels. First off they will be giving away a 1955 panhead. Second they will have some of the most talented builders in attendance with their builds. It will be a sight to be hold, rest assured. If you do not have your tickets there are still some available here at the store or online at giddyuptx.com.
